B: Yeah. We go shopping together and stuff sometimes.

そうですね。たまに一緒に買い物とか行ったりしますよ

A: Nice. Do you ever fight?

いいですね。喧嘩はしますか？

B: We used to when we were kids, but we don't anymore.

なので…　年齢差がすごいですね

Memo: wide rangeは直訳すると「幅広い」という意味

男性:

Yeah.

My parents are split up, but um,

両親は離婚していて、でも、えーっと

Memo: be split upは「離婚する」という意味

男性:

女性:

my dad and my little siblings are moving to Hawaii,

父親と幼い弟と妹たちがハワイに引っ越しするんです

in the summer time.

夏に

比較するときに使われる形容詞を比較級と言います。基本的には形容詞にerをつけます。例えば、tall「背が高い」の比較級はtaller「より背が高い」です。

強調するときはmuchやwayが使われます。thanは「～より」という意味です。

「彼は私より若いです」

She’s older.

「彼女は年上です」

You’re taller than him.

「あなたは彼より背が高いですね」

This is much bigger.

「こっちの方が全然大きいですね」

Which is smaller?

「どっちが小さいですか？」

It’s hotter than yesterday.

「昨日より暑いですね」

goodの比較級はbetterになります

This is better.

「こっちの方がいいです」
